What materials are used?

We use only acrylic paints. This paint is permanent when it is dry. It comes in many bright colors. Has very little odor. Cleans up easily with soap and water. The wall can be washed with a mild soap and water, once the mural is completely dry.

It usually takes two to three coats of acrylic paint to cover most surfaces. Acrylic paint works best on a flat or semi glossy background paint. A light color, such as pale blue, off white, light yellow, works best.

We ask you to paint the room the desired background color, let it Dry for atleast a week, before we start with the mural. Or we can certainly work with your existing wall color.

Once the mural has been painted., it is allowed to dry for 1-2 days. Then we return to put the finishing touches on the wall. The entire mural is outlined in a permanent marker. This will cause all the characters to “jump out of the wall” Giving the mural more dimension and character.

If at some point, you decide you want to change the look of the room, you can easily paint over the mural with a paint of your choice. But we hope that the mural will bring you many years of joy and laughs.

Warmest Regards,

-Carla
